The Clubs With The Most Ballon D'or Wins In Football History

The Ballon D'or shortlist has been released, and Lionel Messi's name has been left off for the first time since 2009. The Argentine forward has won the Ballon D'or award seven times, explaining why no other club has won more Ballon D'or awards than Barcelona. The Catalans have four more Ballon D'or awards than Real Madrid. However, Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only two clubs in Europe's top five to have received more than ten Ballon D'or awards.


Aside from Barcelona and Real Madrid, AC Milan and Bayern Munich are the only two clubs to have won more than five Ballon D'or awards. Despite his incredible performance at Bayern Munich, Lewandowski has yet to win the Ballon D'or. However, Manchester United has won it four times, and Cristiano Ronaldo has won one of the awards.

Hamburger SV, Ajax Amsterdam, Paris Saint-Germain, and Inter Milan are among the other clubs on the list. However, Karim Benzema is the favorite to win the Ballon D'or in 2022. Real Madrid could close the gap on Barcelona if the French forward wins the title. Furthermore, Lionel Messi was the last player to win the Ballon D'or in Barcelona.
