Chelsea fans celebrate as a world-class player agrees 5-year deal at £55m of £118,000-a-week

Celebrations at Stamford Bridge and among Chelsea fans across the globe as Todd Boehly wrapping up another deal for the Blues.

According to the reports, Raphinha has now been given a five-year contract by Chelsea FC as they try to capture the Brazilian as their first summer signing.

The Blues have reportedly put forth a contract offer worth approximately £118,000 per week over five years to lure the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge, according to The Daily Mail.

This week, it was widely reported that Raphinha was of heightened interest to Chelsea as they aim to improve their attacking options for the upcoming season.

The 25-year-old forward will cost Chelsea FC and Leeds United a reported amount of approximately £55 million with add-ons.

As a result of the player’s agent Deco being spotted this week in Barcelona—the city of Raphinha’s preferred club—Chelsea FC is reportedly “pressing” to complete the transfer.

Raphinha would prefer a transfer to FC Barcelona if possible, even though a deal to join Chelsea FC appears to be close.

According to the source, the southwest London club is working to close the deal to recruit the Brazilian as soon as feasible.

The post was released in response to rumors earlier this week in the British media that Chelsea FC was close to signing Raphinha for £55 million.

The offensive midfielder for Leeds United scored 11 goals and contributed three assists to help the Whites avoid the drop last season.

After being taken over, Chelsea FC’s transfer ban was lifted, but they are still looking to make their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel will be expected to lead the Blues to a title fight next season after they finished third in the Premier League last year. Tuchel’s team will go to Everton on the first weekend of the season.
