UCL: What Lyon Coach Said About Ronaldo After Knocking Out Juventus

 

Olympique Lyon did the unthinkable as they sent both Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus out of the Champions League this season. Despite a brace from the Portuguese ace, the Old Lady were still dumped out of the competition on an away goal rule.

After the game, Lyon coach, Rudi Garcia spoke about Ronaldo's second goal claiming it was magnificent but he was happy his team went through despite being the weaker side prior to the game.

Lyon boss Rudi Garcia: “I have been here a few times with Roma. They are the best club in Italy, a team that wanted to win the Champions League and have an alien.

"We saw Cristiano Ronaldo's magnificent second goal. Few people thought we could do it. We did it.

"It is the victory of a group. We wanted to be in Lisbon. Here we are. I am proud for our supporters and for Lyon. We must not stop there."
