THE TIME IS SHORT..

Time is not a friend of anyone. It flies. They say it is running very fast. It will do our life good if we set goals on time and start to pursue them. We are given limited time on earth to prepare for our eternity. We must make use of time judiciously.

From the day a person is born he starts his journey to the grave. That is why the Bible says that man is like a flower that flourishes in the morning but dies in the evening. The Bible likens life to a Weaver's shuttle running to and fro. It describes life as the breath of a hand. This shows that life is very small indeed. People we meet today will be no more tomorrow. Young men full of life today will disappear into oblivion the next moment.

The day of one's birthday should be a day of sober reflection because it draws one closer to the grave. Every celebration of a happy birthday is a step towards the day of death. This is a closer sober reflection that every step a man takes is a step towards his eternal home, either in hell or in heaven. If what we ought to address is not addressed then an eagle-like person will be turned into a chicken that can not fly.
